Annie’s Initiatives:

 

The Results:

  • Led the effort to consolidate the town and school Information Technology departments.
    • Saved $50,000 that went directly to preserving classroom programs.
  • Promoted the application of performance management principles to town operations.
    • Proved the need for an additional police officer which led to the reallocation of resources within the budget to fund it.
  • Created and led the effort to seek citizen input into the town’s long term financial planning process.
    • Obtained specific ideas for improving productivity while holding the line on costs.
  • Proposed and chaired a public hearing on whether to plow the Minuteman Bikeway in winter and supported a low cost trial effort.
    • Showed that residents from all walks of life will use the path in winter and that the cost of keeping it open is lower than expected.
